Chapter 15: it begins

                It’s been 2 years since I came to this school and start my learning. I have learned a lot from my tutors; spells, skills of fighting and language. My relationship with Loren and Jason is nothing but friendship. As for Mr. Anderson, nothing has change between us. There is nothing to change from the beginning. Yes, my past life shocks and terrifies me at first but as time goes by, the feelings slowly fade away, leaving nothing but acceptance. As for lee chai (I will call him lee from now on), I haven’t seen him since the day I got my power back. I am surprise at myself that I think of him a lot.

               

                “How’s the exam going on?”

                Melissa is standing next to me, drinking her soda.

                “Not bad,” I reply back.

                “Not bad?!” Fiona cries out. “It’s terrible!”

                “That is the result of not studying hard at all and stays up late watching TV,” says Melissa with a grin.

                “Shut the hell up Melissa. You didn’t have any revision too and worst of all you were dating with your boyfriend everyday!” Fiona attacks Melissa back with words.

                Melissa face turns white, then bright red. “That has nothing to do with you and I did study…”

                 I didn’t say anything and just enjoy the drama happening in front of me. I finally can’t hold it and laugh out loud. I didn’t notice their sudden mischievous gaze on me and when I notice they have stop their bickering and have made up a plan; it is too late to escape. Melissa captures me and Fiona does the tickling. I giggle hard from the tickling and when my face turns red, they let me go.

                We lie down and giggle while looking at each other.  Then the principal secretary came and tells me that the principle wants to see me.  Leaving my friends in the garden, I follow Miss Secretary and leave me in front of the principal’s office. I knock the door and with the permission from the inside, I enter the office.

                “Are you looking for me, Principal Amy?” I asks to the figure with her back at me.

                “Yes. I have a mission for you.”

                “A mission?”

                “Yes. I’m afraid something bad is happening in the human world. Someone is doing mischief in a school name Center high.” She turns around and looks at me. “Miss Pike, you are a former student there before, am I correct?”

                I nodded. “Is the ‘someone’ you said one of us?”

                “I’m afraid the culprit is a mixer who went missing two years ago. She disappeared on the day when a pile of black magic books being stolen. It was also the day when your magic came back.”

                I frowned. That is so coincident. “This is no coincidence, am I right Principal Amy?”

                “I’m afraid you’re right. Will you accept this mission Miss Pike?” she asks me. I can see from her eyes that she cannot have the answer no and so I accept the mission given. She give me a smile after hearing my answer.

                “You will have my permission to use your talent. I have enrolled you into the school and you must attend the lesson tomorrow. Go pack your things; you are going to leave early in the morning tomorrow. As for the lessons here, I’m afraid you will have to leave them but I am sure that you have no problems about this.”

                I raised my eyebrow. How did she know that I have mastered almost the whole knowledge of every lesson I’m having?

                “It’s a secret.”  She says with a mischief glint in her eyes. i rub my eyes....i must be having illusion...
