The voice of love

          A long, white haired girl is standing at the balcony a moment ago. Next second, there is nothing on the balcony but if you raised your head to the night sky, you will see a shadow floating in the sky. Yes, the girl is an angel.

          The existence of angels is to guide the souls to either heaven or hell; it depends on how they live their live before they die. She has been given another mission by her supervisor (yes, even angels have supervisor) to guide a spirit.

She stops by a house, sensing the aura of dead in one of the room in the house and the address is correct (given by her supervisor).

          Silently, she opens the window. As if sensing her needs of silence, the window did not offer any sound. A sleeping figure is seen on a blue colored bed. She goes near the bed and sees that the figure is a boy and such a striking person he is.

          Somehow, she has the strange feeling. She did not want to take away his soul yet. She stands there for a few hours and the boy in the bed sleep peacefully, unaware that someone is in his room and that someone comes to guide his spirit. The sun slowly rises and she quickly fly away when she notice that he is about to awake soon.

          “Cindy, why didn’t you take his soul?” her supervisor asks her. “You know that he’s supposed to die yesterday and why didn’t you take his spirit and guide him?”

          Cindy didn’t reply back. She just stands there silently and faces her supervisor. It’s not because she do not want to answer the question, it’s because she do not know the answer.

          “Cindy, I don’t know why you did this but you are given a week. A week later, you must take away his soul. He’s destined to die at this age.”

         

Cindy nods and watches her supervisor leave. She goes to the balcony and sits there, staring at the sky. She then comes out with a decision. She will fulfill his wish. She then uses her power to become one of the students in his school.

“I like you, can you go out with me?” is what Cindy said to the boy when the boy is walking back home.

The boy looks at Cindy. Cindy cannot guess what he is thinking. His purple eyes look so clear, and he’s emitting an aura that a normal human rarely have.

“Sure. What’s your name?”

His sudden answer makes Cindy speechless for a moment but she found herself to giving away her name.

“Cindy.”

“Do you know who I am?” he asks Cindy.

“Adam, class 5A, interested in football and storybooks…” Cindy tell him what she know of him. She knows all of this from the introduction paper given by my supervisor.

He gives her a smile and it makes her heart beats faster. “Let’s have a date tomorrow.”

She nods and he sends her home. The next day she go the place where they are going to meet. She sees him walking to her direction and greets her with a smile. For two hours they spend their time together in the shopping centre. They found a bench and sits down.

“Adam, if you were given a wish, what will you wishes for?” Cindy ask Adam. She want to fulfill his wish.

“A castle.”

His answer shocks Cindy. Seeing her face, Adam just laugh.

“Why castle?”

“I like castles.” Simple answer but difficult to have.

“What about you? What do you like Cindy?”

“I like things that have connection with angels,” she says with a smile.

Time goes quickly and soon it is the last day. They are having their last date and Cindy knows this but not Adam. For the whole day they are together, soon it is time to say goodbye.

“Cindy, this is for you.”  Adam gives Cindy a small box. She opens it and sees a beautiful necklace, the ornament the shape of wings. She almost cries but she held back. It’s the necklace she adores.

“I know that you like it so I bought it for you. Let me help you put it on.” He slips it to her neck and clasps it.

“Thanks you.” She whispers to him.

Adam smiles and walks away. Night comes and Cindy slips into Adam’s room. Adam somehow wake up and is shocked when he sees Cindy near his bedside. He’s more shock when he sees the wings at Cindy’s back.

“Let me fulfill your wish,” Cindy says with a smile. She lifts him up and suddenly they are inside a castle and for hours both of them explore the castle. Then they are back in Adam’s room.

“Adam, I have come to guide you,” says Cindy with sadness.

“I have to go?”

“Yes.”

“Leave this world?”

“Yes.”

Silence looms between them.

“I’m sorry.” Cindy cries.

Adam then hugs Cindy and soothes her.

With a smile he says, “Do it.”

She guides him to the place he’s going to be. A shining light surrounds Adam and he turns around and looks at Cindy.

“Goodbye, Cindy.”

“I’ll miss you Adam.” She said almost in whisper but Adam hears it.

He smile sadly and says, “Me too.”

He then disappears from the light and tears comes out from Cindy’s eyes.
