Mixer: chapter 9

Chapter nine:  Black Club members
                “Hey you, stop there!”
That is the first sentence I hear as soon as I enter the library. Quite a welcome I receive here. I turn my gaze from the rack fill of books to the owner of the voice.  Now I wish I didn’t turn around my head.  Five boys and they are so drop dead gorgeous.  Their looks make me waver but I quickly snap back to my senses.
“Is something wrong?” I ask them.
“We haven’t seen you around before. Are you new here?” one of the boys asks.
“Yes.” Just a short answer I provide them. I feel a bit a pressure from their existence, even though they didn’t do anything but just stands not far away from me.
“We are the Black Prince, the one who form the Black Club. Do you want to join our club?” says another boy out of five.
“Sorry but I am not interested and thank you for asking,” I turn down the offer flatly. I don’t like their opinion they have towards human. Sure humans may be bad but not all of them are, even us mixers and pure blood beings are not all good beings. Inside a cart of red apples, there are some apples that are rotten.
Their face darkens after hearing my answer. I have a thinking that they always get what they want and that not one single girl has ever turn down their offer.  I offer them a big and apologetic smile and return to my own business. But too bad, one of the boys, who I think is the leader, grab my hand and stops me.
I look at the hand that hold my arm and then at the face own the hand’s owner. “Can you please let go of me? I have something to do.”
He glares at me fiercely, which scares me a little. I did politely ask him so why did he become more and more angry??
“Never, never once have a girl turn down our offer and walk away from us,” he grits his teeth.
“Then I am the first girl who will do that, now let go of me!” I start to feel angry. I hate boys like him. i shake off his hand and glare at him. “Who do you think you are? You have no right to force me to join your club!”
“Now leave me alone like a gentleman!” I will scream out loud if we are not in the library. He takes one step towards me but stops and look at my back. I turn around and feel almost at ease to see Jason.
“Acacia, there you are! I have been looking everywhere for you. Please don’t be mad at me for leaving you behind just now,” he says to me. For a second I am confused but then when he looks at me, I know. He is trying to help me.
“Did I say I am mad at you? I am not mad at you,” I smile at him. “I am furious!”
With just that we both pretend our bickering and successfully left the spot. When Jason notice that they are going to chase us, he grab my hand and together we run. We run until they are out of our sight. By then both of us are out of breath. For a moment we breathe heavily and look at each other, and then we both break into laughter.
“Hahaha…that was fun,” say Jason while laughing.
“I don’t think that was fun. I hope I will never meet them again, nor having anything to do with them,” I say to him.
“Thank you for saving me Jason.”
“You’re welcome. What have the black princes do to you? Did they harass you? But that will be impossible for you are not their type and you don’t look that pretty too.”
I gratefully reward his pleasant compliment by giving him kiss on his leg, which makes him jump from the pain. He apologizes to me quickly when he notices that I am going to reward him a second kick.
“Is this how you treat you life savior? Ow ow…”
“That is the reward for the compliment you just gave me,” I smile at him sweetly. “Want another one?” I ask and raise my leg a little.
‘No thanks.  Where are you going to go next, I will escort you,” he says to me with a smile. I know that he worries that they might come back to me and I accept for I am scare too. So the two of us hang out in the garden, half is because of the black prices and half the reason is because of the beautiful scene of flowers blooming brightly in the garden.
“Hey. Do you know when is the next full moon?” I ask Jason when I remember about the dream I have.
“Tomorrow, why are you asking this?”
“Nothing, let’s go. We have stay here long enough. It’s almost time for our lesson.”
I avoid the question and left, my mind full of unanswered questions. Tomorrow is the full moon but I did not know what to do. Then flashes of forest, a fountain and a garden appear in my mind. The garden! The school garden! I quickly stop and look at the door which leads to the garden. But it is different than the garden I saw just now. The garden I saw is so…I don’t know how to explain. I can only say that it gives me a nostalgic feel, like I have been there before and that I wanted to be there again. This makes me make up my mind of sneaking into the school garden tomorrow night.
