The snow fox

Far, far away, there is a mountain called Black Pearl. It was a mysterious mountain. No human has ever gone into that mountain. Only fate can bring humans there.  Immortals and demons lived in that mountain. They are not bound by the cruel laws made for immortals. They were free to love, unlike the immortals in heaven and demons in hell.
This story is about a fox from Black Pearl Mountain falls in love. Her name is Dewdrop. She had fall in love with an immortal from heaven, which was forbidden.  But the immortal, Kevin, did not love her. He did not have the feel of love for he was an immortal.
When Kevin first descended from heaven, carrying a message to her guardian, she had fall in love. For hundreds of year dewdrop loved him. She rejected lots of immortals from black pearl, only wants him to be her lover. She have done a lot for him but he never once look at her.  On the day of his calamity, she finally woke up.
It was his guardian who told her that he will face a huge calamity. There are two groups of demon in hell, the superior side and the bad side. Hell was never a peaceful place. There was always fight over the throne. Kevin had helped the superior side and thus he had made a frightful enemy. The bad side had planned to kill him on the day he visit his house of worship.
Dewdrop dashed to the place where he was being ambushed when she received this dreadful news. When she arrived, he was injured but not badly and was surrounded by countless demons. Her heart bleeds and hurts badly when she saw his injuries. With all her powers she killed the demons but with a price. She was badly injured. The immortal looked at dewdrop and said,
“Why are you protecting me?”
The fox looked at him, expressing her deep love, “because I love you.”
“Why?” he asked again, his face expressionless. “You do know that I can never give what you seek from me.”
“I know. I know you can never love. I know that my love will never be accepted,” said dewdrop to the immortal.
“Is it worth it? Fox goddess from Black Pearl Mountain,” the immortal asked.
“To me it is,” said dewdrop. He came near her, wanted to steady her when she tried to stand up but she stopped him from doing it.
“Don’t. Your divine clothes will get dirty by my blood,” said dewdrop. She laid her back at the wall and looked at him. “will you remember me if one day I am not beside you anymore?”
She searched a pint of love from his eyes but there was none in his eyes. He still stared at her expressionless, coldly.  Then she finally understood. She knew that he will never love her. She then made a grave decision.  Loving an immortal was her own fault, not his. The blame was on her.  This long love of hers, she will soon begged him to wipe it out, hurts her so much.
“I am tired already. Tired from this one sided love,” said dewdrop. Kevin looked at her and saw her tired face. But he said nothing and waits for her to continue.
“Kevin, the immortal I love, can u please grant me one wish?” Dewdrop raised her head and looked at him.
“Speak,” said Kevin.
“You adore humans’ right? When they pray from their heart, you will grant their wish right? Then I pray to you from my heart, please let me forget you. Free me from this painful love. Free me from this feeling call love, so that I will not look at you, if we ever come across each other one day.”
He looked at her and he felt something foreign deep inside his heart. He quickly shakes it off and thought.  “She wishes to throw away her love?”
“I…will help you,” said the immortal.
He bit his finger and a blood came out. He moved his bitten finger to her chest. By using magic, his blood went into her heart. It was a gem called the loveless gem. “When you wake up, you will forget the love you have towards me. You will forget about me too and you never will fall in love again. Now sleep.”
When he knew that she had fell asleep, he lifted her up and left the place. Fire had long spread the building but strangely, the fire seemed to make way for them to leave.
Three hundred years later.
Two girls was playing at the flower garden, running and laughing, enjoying the pretty, sunny day.  The girl was dewdrop and her friend. They ran passed an immortal and never once did dewdrop looked back. The immortal stopped his pace and looked at dewdrop cheery face, his face expressionless but if you looked closely, you can see his lips curving up a little.
